Who we are
DigiHub is an online marketplace where independent vendors run their own storefronts and shoppers browse products and stores. Questions about this policy go to contact@digihubgh.com.
What we collect
When you use DigiHub, we collect:
- Your name and email address. If you set a password, we store it in a secure form that we cannot read. We never keep your password in plain text.
- If you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile picture, where Google provides one.
- The products you save and the stores you follow.
- Reviews you write, shown with your display name. Your email address is not shown with reviews.
- If you post a trade-in: the device details and photos you give, your town or city, and a phone number if you choose to add one. Stores that can send you a deal see the device details, photos and town or city. They do not see your name, email address or phone number. Only DigiHub staff see the phone number.
- If you are a vendor: the details you publish for your store, such as its name, logo, banner, description, address, phone and WhatsApp numbers, email, website and social links, and the product listings and photos you upload. Store pages are public, so anyone can see this information.
- Basic anonymous visit counts. We count how often each store and product page is viewed, and how often its WhatsApp, call or email contact links are used. These are totals per store or product per day, with no personal details attached.
We also use Google Analytics to see how many people visit DigiHub and which pages they use. Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, and general details about your device and browser. Google may process this information under its own privacy policy. We use these figures only to understand and improve the site.
How we use information
- To run your account, including signing in, verifying your email and resetting your password.
- To show stores, products and reviews, and the stores and products you save or follow.
- To review vendor stores before they go live.
- To send the service emails described below.
- To show store owners their own visit and contact counts.
- To pass your trade-in to stores that can send you a deal, and to show you their deals.
- To prevent abuse and keep the marketplace safe.
We send only service emails:
- Account emails, including verifying your email address when you sign up and resetting your password.
- Vendor store emails, when your store is approved, not approved, suspended or live again.
- Trade-in emails: to you when a deal arrives, and to stores when a customer posts a device they accept.
How long we keep information
- Account information is kept while your account exists.
- A customer account whose email address is not verified within 7 days of signing up is removed, together with anything saved in it.
- A trade-in stays open for 14 days or until you close it. It is deleted when your account is deleted.
- Anonymous visit totals are kept for about 13 months.
Deleting your account
Customers can delete their own account from the account settings page. This removes your saved products, followed stores and reviews. Deletion cannot be undone.
Vendors and admins cannot delete their accounts themselves. To close a vendor or admin account, contact us at contact@digihubgh.com.
Your choices
You can change your name and password in your account settings. To access, correct or delete your personal information, or to ask anything else about this policy, contact us at contact@digihubgh.com.
