Frequently asked questions

Short answers about how DigiHub works today, for shoppers, vendors and anyone with an account.

Shopping

Can I pay for products on DigiHub?
Not yet. DigiHub does not have a checkout or online payment. To buy, contact the seller using the options on the product or store page, and agree on payment and delivery with them.
How do I contact a seller?
Each product and store page shows the contact options the vendor has published: Chat on WhatsApp, Call, or Email. Only the channels the vendor provided appear.
What does Verified seller mean?
A store with the Verified seller badge is one DigiHub staff have checked and marked as verified. Stores without the badge have still been reviewed before going live, but have not been through that extra check.
Which currencies are prices shown in?
Each vendor sets the currency for each product: Ghanaian cedi (GHS), US dollar (USD), Nigerian naira (NGN), euro (EUR) or pound sterling (GBP). A product's price is shown in the currency its vendor chose.
How does search work?
Search the products and stores by name. Search still finds close matches when a word is slightly misspelled. You can sort results by best match, newest, or top rated.
Can I sort products by price?
Yes. On product listings you can sort by newest, price low to high, price high to low, or top rated. Price sorting needs a currency chosen in the currency filter; until one is chosen, the price options are unavailable.
Can I review a product or store?
Yes, if you are signed in. You can leave one review per product and one per store. Reviews are not marked as verified purchases.

Selling

How do I start selling?
Choose Sell on DigiHub to create your vendor account and set up your store.
Does my store go live straight away?
No. DigiHub reviews every store before it appears publicly. Until it is approved, your store and its products are not visible to shoppers.
What do the store statuses mean?
Draft means you haven't submitted your store yet, or DigiHub has asked you to finish a few things first: add your logo, banner, About text, a phone number with your country code, your city and at least one published product, then submit it for review from your dashboard. Pending review means DigiHub is checking your store. Published means it is live. Rejected means it was not approved, and the reason is shown to you. Suspended means it has been taken offline by DigiHub. If your store was rejected, you can update it and resubmit it for review. A suspended store cannot be resubmitted by the vendor.
Can I save products before publishing them?
Yes. A product can be a draft, published, or archived. Only published products appear to shoppers. You can edit, archive, or delete products from your vendor dashboard.
How do categories work for my products?
You can create your own categories in your vendor dashboard. Each product can be placed in one of them. Your store page groups its products by these categories.

Trade-ins

How do I trade in my old device?
Open Trade in your device, describe the device and add at least two photos. Stores that accept that kind of device can each send you a deal: cash, or a swap for something they sell. DigiHub may send a deal too. You need an account with a verified email address.
Which devices can I trade in?
Phones, laptops, TVs and tech accessories.
Can I trade in with one particular store, or for one product?
Yes. A store that takes trade-ins shows a Trade in your device button on its page, and a product whose seller takes trade-ins shows Trade in for this. A trade-in started that way goes to that store only.
Where do I see my deals, and what happens next?
Deals appear under Trade-ins in your account, and we email you when one arrives. Contact the store you prefer using its WhatsApp, call or email buttons, and agree payment and the exchange with them. DigiHub does not handle payment or the exchange.
Can stores see my contact details?
No. Stores see your device details, photos and town or city. They do not see your name, email address or phone number, and they cannot message you first. If you add a phone number to a trade-in, only DigiHub staff see it.
How long does a trade-in stay open?
14 days, or until you close it. Close it once a deal is done so stores stop seeing it. You can have up to 3 open at a time.
I sell on DigiHub. How do I take trade-ins?
Open Trade-ins in your vendor dashboard and tick the device types you accept. You are emailed when a customer posts one, and you can send one deal per request. You can also tick Accept trade-ins for this product when you add or edit a product.

Account

How do I create an account?
Sign up with an email address and password, or with Google where Google sign-in is offered. We send a verification email when you sign up, with a link that works for 7 days. You can sign in before you verify, but a customer account that is not verified within 7 days is removed. Create an account.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Choose Forgot password on the sign-in page and enter your email address. If your account has a password, we send a link to reset it. If your account only uses Google, we send an email telling you to sign in with Google instead.
I signed up with Google. Can I add a password?
Yes. Open your account settings and add a password. After that you can sign in with your email address and password as well as with Google.
How do I delete my account?
Customers can delete their own account from account settings. Vendor accounts cannot be deleted from the site. To close a vendor account, contact us at contact@digihubgh.com.

Privacy and data

What information do you collect?
We collect your name and email, the products you save, the stores you follow, and the reviews you write. Vendors also publish their store details. We also keep anonymous visit and contact counts for stores and products. The full details are in our Privacy policy.
Do you sell my personal data?
No. We use trusted providers to run the service, such as hosting, image storage, email delivery and Google Analytics, and they handle your information only to do that work.
Who can see my name on a review?
Reviews are shown with your display name. Your email address is not shown with reviews. Store pages are public, so anything a vendor publishes there can be seen by anyone.
